Our Core Beliefs

At Christ Church of Grovetown, our faith is rooted in the timeless truths of Scripture. These core beliefs shape everything we do — from worship and prayer to community life and outreach.

The foundations of our faith.

01

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible — all sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments — is the verbally inspired, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God. Scripture is the supreme and final authority for faith and practice in the life of every believer and the Church.

02

The Trinity

We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are co-equal in power, glory, and majesty, each fully God, yet one in essence.

03

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that salvation is the gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.

04

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells every Christian, and empowers them for godly living, prayer, worship, and service.

05

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers who have placed their faith in Jesus. The local church is where believers gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, the ordinances of baptism and communion, and mutual encouragement.

06

The Return of Christ & Eternity

We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people — believers to eternal life in the presence of God, and unbelievers to eternal separation from God.

Come worship with us and see these beliefs in action.
